Day shifts: 8am 8pm Monday to Sunday

Night shifts: 8pm 8am Monday to Sunday

Are you a compassionate and understanding carer looking to make a real difference in someones life?

AtMCS Healthcare, we are looking for dedicated Health Care Assistants to support a young client living at home with their family in Radstock. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, person-centred care to an adolescent with a learning disability and epilepsy.

About the Role

You will be supporting a young person who lives in a loving family home and has complex clinical needs, including a PEG-feeding and gastrostomy care. The client requires reassurance, structure, and consistent support.

Providing attentive clinical care, building trust, offering reassurance, and responding in a calm, safe, and supportive manner is essential to ensure their comfort and wellbeing.

This role is not just about care tasksits about building a positive relationship, promoting a sense of safety, and supporting the client to feel comfortable in their own home.

  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with both the client and their family
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to high-quality care

What Youll Be Doing

  • Epilepsy management
  • Provide regular chest care (nebuliser, cough assist, suction)
  • Monitor breathing and respond quickly to any concerns
  • Follow the care plan and report any changes in condition
  • Support with chronic constipation management
  • Manage and care for gastrostomy (PEG) needs

What Were Looking For
  • At least 1 year of care experience

  • A caring and professional approach

  • Willingness to learn and follow care plans

  • Experience in learning disabilities or similar settings (preferred)
