What Youll Be Doing

Youll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across precision-engineered components:

  • Inspecting components against engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Learning advanced inspection techniques using critical datum points
  • Using a range of handheld metrology tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Carrying out first-off inspections from CNC machined parts
  • Recording inspection results accurately within company systems
  • Raising non-conformance reports (PIFs) and working closely with team leaders to resolve issues
  • Supporting testing, validation, and continuous improvement of components and assemblies

What Were Looking For

Essential:

  • Degree / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (basic to intermediate level)
  • Experience working to tight tolerances or in precision environments
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools (verniers, gauges, micrometers, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical working style
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Excel & Word)
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a technical environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in CNC machining or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of quality systems (SPC, AQL, calibration processes)
  • Exposure to CMM or Faro Arm inspection equipment
  • Understanding of welding or fabrication processes
