Large Shovel DriverShift: Monday - Friday, Nights (17:00 - 04:00) with some weekend work.Shifts will be discussed in more depth upon interviewPay: £16 per hour

The RoleOur client is looking for an experienced Large Shovel Driver to operate heavy machinery for moving and loading Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) and waste. You'll help keep the plant running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesShovel OperationsKeep SRF conveyors clear and materials contamination-freeLoad correct SRF into the right trailersKeep different SRF grades separateInspect and clean trailers before and after loadingWaste HandlingFeed waste consistently into the shredderRemove large/damaging items before shreddingManage tipping hall and help lorries unload efficientlySpot poor-quality or unsuitable waste loadsMachine CareComplete daily maintenance checksClean and inspect your shovelRefuel and grease the machineCheck oil and AdBlue levelsClean filters and cab at the end of each shiftOther DutiesOperate other equipment if certifiedSupport other site tasks when machines arent in use
What Youll NeedExperience using large shovels or plant machinery (essential)Valid plant operator card (e.g. CPCS or NPORS - preferred)Knowledge of SRF/waste handlingStrong awareness of health & safetyPhysically fit and reliableTeam player with good communication
