Peoples Care Solutions is recruiting frontline Care at Home Carers to support older people in their own homes across East Renfrewshire G77 (Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Busby, Giffnock).

Hours:

• 16 to 35 hours per week, across core shifts
• Opportunity to work additional hours

Core Shifts:

• 7.30am to 1.15pm and 3.45pm to 9.15pm.
• Flexibility possible, but to agreed work pattern
• Some weekend work preferred every second weekend

Location:

• East Renfrewshire (G77)
• Successful applicants must reside within 30 minutes of G77 and hold a FULL UK Driving Licence, and have access to own vehicle
• Suitable applicants who live within 15 mins walk of The Avenue Shopping Centre, Newton Mearns will be considered

Salary:

• £13.95 per hour
• Enhanced rates £21.85 for 8 public holidays
• 28 days (pro rata) paid annual holiday

The Role:

• Providing personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition and skin care assistance, medication support on a person- centred basis within older people's own homes
• Previous experience is helpful but not essential; an organised, caring and compassionate approach is required.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out Scheduled visits to individuals up to 4 times a day
• Care for and support people in their own homes enabling them to continue to live at home safely and continue to maximise their independence
• Develop professional relationships through mutual trust and communicating effectively
• Be a committed frontline carers team player
• Maintain required standards at all times
• Evidence visits information by writing in Daily Record Books
• Ensure management are given timely feedback

Candidate specification:

• Right to work in UK: suitable student visa applications considered
• Live within 30 minutes of G77
• Hold full UK driving licence with a car (applications from non- drivers who live within 15 minutes walk of G77 can be considered)
• Previous care experience and qualifications eg SVQ 2 and 3 preferred, but not essential
• Successful applicants are required to undergo Disclosure Scotland check (funded) and SSSC registration
