Veritas Education is working closely with a range of mainstream and SEN schools across Teesside, and we are seeking passionate, resilient and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants from a variety of academic backgrounds.
These roles offer exceptional hands-on experience for anyone considering careers in education, SEN, psychology, social care, youth work, or behaviour support.
Who We're Looking For:
We welcome graduates from a wide range of degree subjects, including:
- Psychology
- Criminology
- Education Studies
- Sociology
- Health & Social Care
- Sports Science / Coaching
- Social Work / Youth Work
- Counselling or Mental Health related degrees
- STEM subjects (Maths, Science, Computing)
- Childhood Studies
- English / Creative Writing
- Performing Arts / Drama
- Art & Design
If you have the passion, empathy, and resilience to support children with additional needs, we want to hear from you - regardless of whether you have direct school experience.
What the Role Involves:
- Supporting pupils with a wide range of SEN needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and complex needs)
- Working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour support
- Helping create a supportive and structured learning environment
- Building positive, meaningful relationships with pupils
Positions Available:

- Roles available across mainstream, specialist SEN settings and alternative provisions
Training & Compliance Support
Veritas can support you with:
- A new enhanced DBS if needed
- Specialist SEN training, including safeguarding, behaviour management, de-escalation, autism awareness, and more
- Ongoing guidance from a dedicated consultant
