A supportive SEND school in Middlesbrough is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time. This is a long-term role where you’ll work closely with pupils who need extra support to manage behaviour, emotions, and learning.
It’s a brilliant opportunity if you’re considering educational psychology, teaching, therapy, or youth work, and want meaningful hands-on experience first.
Your role- Supporting students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups with secondary-aged pupils
- Helping pupils stay calm, engaged, and confident in lessons
- Building strong, supportive relationships that help young people thrive
- A strong pastoral team who genuinely support their staff
- A focus on emotional wellbeing and inclusive education
- A consistent role where you’ll work with the same pupils each day
- A psychology graduate or similar background
- Patient, calm, and empathetic
- Confident around teenagers and children with challenging behaviours
- Interested in behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and SEN support
- Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella deductions
