Locum Reablement Occupational Therapist

County Hall, Trowbridge

37 Hours per Week

3-Month Temporary Assignment (Potential Extension)

• Tripod are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Reablement Team based at County Hall, Trowbridge.
• This opportunity has arisen due to increased service demand following the successful implementation of the Home First contract.
• This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals to remain as independent as possible within their own homes and communities.

The Role

As an Occupational Therapist within the Reablement Service, you will:

• Deliver strengths-based occupational therapy assessments
• Design and implement innovative reablement plans tailored to individual needs
• Provide professional advice on equipment, adaptations, and decision-making
• Support individuals to maximise independence and reduce long-term care needs
• Manage a varied caseload across community and home settings
• Work collaboratively with health and social care professionals

This role offers flexibility and autonomy in managing your workload, with a hybrid working arrangement:

• 50% of administration time completed in the office
• Remaining time split between home working and community visits

Example:

• 3 days community visits
• 1 day office-based
• 1 day working from home

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

• A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• HCPC registration
• Experience within community or reablement settings preferred
• A valid full UK driving licence and access to transport
