OpportunityHighland Health and Social Care Services offers an exciting role as part of the East Caithness Health and Social Care team at Pulteney House, Wick. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients in their own homes, helping enable individuals to maintain independence at home and supporting them after hospital discharge. This is a permanent part‐time position of 17.27 hours per week, normally 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on a 4‐days‐on, 4‐days‐off rota (or in line with service requirements).

Responsibilities

Deliver high‐standard patient care in support of the team, ensuring the delivery of a quality service to the local community.

Use own initiative and flexibility to respond to the needs of patients within the home care setting.

Qualifications

Experience not required, although beneficial.

Full training will be provided; the successful applicant will have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.

A driving licence is essential and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.

Benefits & Conditions

Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‐time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours, with part‐time hours adjusted on a pro‐rata basis and an increase in hourly rate to keep pay unaffected.
