Senior Support Worker (Days)

Job descriptionWe are looking for a confident Senior Support Worker to work 42 hours a week (days only, including alternate weekends) at Broughton Lodge, a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities. The role involves delivering outstanding care, supporting independence, and contributing to a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

Provide enhanced, flexible care and support to residents.

Offer guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

Learn each individual's specific needs and respond appropriately.

Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.

Support management in the day-to-day running of the service.

Undertake supervisory and administrative responsibilities.

Safeguard residents and maintain a clean and safe environment.

ScheduleShift pattern: days (8am–8pm) with alternating week schedule – week 1: 4 days on, 3 days off; week 2: 3 days on, 4 days off.

Requirements

Experience as a Support Worker with ability to step up to a more senior role.

Genuine drive to make a difference in the lives of service users.

Confident, assertive and ambitious for yourself, service users, and the organisation.

Excellent communicator and team player.

Sensitive and intuitive, able to foster a trusting, stimulating environment.

Able to empower and support service user independence.

Organised, committed and keen to develop leadership and management skills.

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Care (desirable).
