Inverkeithing Medical Group welcomes applications for the role of Health Care Support Worker to join our large, well‐established GP practice.

We are a busy, high‐volume practice providing services to a large patient population in Inverkeithing and the surrounding area. We place strong value on teamwork, consistency and mutual support — support for our patients, and just as importantly, support for one another. This underpins everything we do.

Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants and an experienced administrative team, with close working links to the wider NHS Fife community teams. As a large practice, we offer clear systems, shared responsibility and strong clinical and managerial support for all staff.

The RoleWe are seeking a qualified, reliable and caring Health Care Assistant who enjoys working as part of a structured, supportive team. The post holder will work closely with GPs, the nursing team and administrative colleagues to support the delivery of safe, effective and patient‐centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Performing routine clinical observations, including:

Blood pressure monitoring

Height and weight measurements

Accurately recording patient information using EMIS and Docman

Supporting chronic disease management

Promoting health and wellbeing, offering advice and appropriate signposting

Assisting with stock checks, ordering and equipment maintenance

Maintaining a clean, safe and well‐organised clinical environment

Working collaboratively within a large team, with a shared approach to workload and patient care
