Junior Clinical Fellow NephrologyClosing date: 26 May 2026.

Job responsibilities

Provide general medical care within the department in close co‐operation with colleagues and other specialties.

Provide emergency general medical care within the on‐call rota.

Participate in the department's teaching, audit, and educational activities.

Qualifications/Training

Hold a current licence to practice from the General Medical Council.

Advanced Life Support Certificate or equivalent.

Knowledge

Experience of audit.

Previous Experience

12 months experience working in Medicine at Core Level or equivalent.

NHS experience.

Fitness to Practice

Up to date and fit to practice safely and aware of own training needs.

Evidence of engagement with appraisal and revalidation.

Skills

Able to evidence engagement with clinical governance and the identification of errors and the learning from errors.

Show situational awareness and application of good decision making.

Lead on patient safety issues and achieve a change in practice.

Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues.

Ability to teach clinical skills.

Experience in organising educational activities.
