Job SummaryAn opportunity has become available for a qualified Health Care Assistant to join our friendly, busy Practice. We are recruiting for a part‐time position of 22.5 hours per week with working days Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Interviews will be held on Friday 6th March 2026. The role is part of a supportive, hard‐working team and you'll work alongside Practice Nurses, a Phlebotomist and the clinical team in delivering patient care in accordance with our protocols and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Phlebotomy

Basic chronic disease checks

Dressings

Injections Pneumo/B12

ECGs

BPs and 24‐hour BP

Ear Syringing

Suture removal

Stock ordering

Ensure compliance and quality assurance in line with practice procedures and CQC regulations

Follow infection control standards

Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well‐being

Help raise awareness of health and well‐being and how it can be promoted

This list is not exhaustive and where there are gaps in training, this will be provided. It is expected as a minimum to be experienced with phlebotomy.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in General Practice or an NHS setting

Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Healthcare and/or completed the Care Certificate

Other RequirementsDisclosure and Barring Service Check required. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
