An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Architect to join a highly respected, design-led architectural practice in Manchester. Working across a diverse portfolio of education, residential, and mixed-use projects, this role offers the chance to contribute to high-profile schemes from concept through to completion.


You’ll play a key role within a collaborative and creative team, leading design development, managing client relationships, and helping to deliver innovative, sustainable, and people-focused architecture. This position would suit an ambitious architect who enjoys both the design and delivery side of projects and is looking to progress within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects across multiple RIBA stages, from early concept design through to delivery
  • Develop high-quality design proposals and technical solutions
  • Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout projects
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and external stakeholders
  • Lead and contribute to presentations, workshops, and design reviews
  • Oversee the production of technical drawing packages and project documentation
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Work collaboratively within BIM/Revit project environments
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the wider team and studio


Skills & Experience

  • ARB-registered Architect with strong post-qualification experience
  • Experience working on residential, education, mixed-use, or large-scale projects
  • Strong design, technical, and detailing ability
  • Proven experience leading projects and coordinating teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident presenting design ideas both verbally and visually
  • Strong understanding of UK planning policy and building regulations
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM workflows
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, proactive, and design-focused approach
