Locum Clinical Psychologist

Band 7 – Band 8b | Locum Contract

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7–8b) to join a specialist service on a locum basis, supporting adults with complex neurological and psychological needs within a rehabilitation setting.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care. The service provides specialist support to individuals with acquired brain injury and complex presentations, focusing on rehabilitation, recovery, and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, and emotional functioning
• Develop formulation-driven care plans and provide evidence-based psychological interventions
• Work collaboratively within an MDT, contributing to care planning and clinical decision-making
• Provide psychological consultation and guidance to the wider team
• Support risk assessment, management, and safeguarding processes
• Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and documentation
• Contribute to service development, audit, and outcome monitoring

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
• Experience working with neurological conditions, brain injury, or complex mental health presentations
• Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work autonomously within a structured clinical framework

Contract Details

• Locum contract
• Band 7 – Band 8b (dependent on experience)
• Full-time or part-time options available
