Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Manchester, hybrid
My client a top 100, national law firm seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor/ Legal Executive to become part of their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload independently
- Supporting and guiding team members to deliver exceptional client service
- Contributing to proactive and commercially focused case progression
- Assisting the Team Leader/Head of Department in achieving financial and performance targets
- Maintaining accurate and effective time recording
- Collaborating with the Team Leader and colleagues on case strategy and planning
- Identifying cases suitable for Letters of Claim, settlement, or service
- Ensuring all relevant evidence and information is gathered to progress claims effectively
- Managing cases proactively and commercially
- Coordinating case progression with internal teams and external parties
- Drafting legal documents including Letters of Claim and letters of instruction
- Negotiating settlements and handling the issuing and service of proceedings where necessary
- Conducting litigation as required
- Overseeing team documentation and correspondence
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience managing a clinical negligence caseload
- Experience in Clinical Negligence
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Proclaim, and Excel
- A flexible, results-driven approach with the ability to meet deadlines
