Clinical Negligence Solicitor


Manchester, hybrid


My client a top 100, national law firm seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor/ Legal Executive to become part of their team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Managing your own caseload independently
  • Supporting and guiding team members to deliver exceptional client service
  • Contributing to proactive and commercially focused case progression
  • Assisting the Team Leader/Head of Department in achieving financial and performance targets
  • Maintaining accurate and effective time recording
  • Collaborating with the Team Leader and colleagues on case strategy and planning
  • Identifying cases suitable for Letters of Claim, settlement, or service
  • Ensuring all relevant evidence and information is gathered to progress claims effectively
  • Managing cases proactively and commercially
  • Coordinating case progression with internal teams and external parties
  • Drafting legal documents including Letters of Claim and letters of instruction
  • Negotiating settlements and handling the issuing and service of proceedings where necessary
  • Conducting litigation as required
  • Overseeing team documentation and correspondence
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
  • The Ideal Candidate:


    • Experience managing a clinical negligence caseload
    • Experience in Clinical Negligence
    • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Proclaim, and Excel
    • A flexible, results-driven approach with the ability to meet deadlines
