Care Assistant / Support Worker

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in need, particularly those residing in assisted living environments or nursing homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including those with dementia and other care needs.

Duties

Assisting service users with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.

Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of service users.

Making tea or coffee and heating meals in the microwave.

Supporting service users with mobility.

Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that their living space is tidy and organized.

Collaborating with care coordinators to implement care plans effectively and monitor service users' progress.

Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.

Experience

Previous experience in a patient-facing role or a similar setting is highly desirable.

A background in nursing or relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.

A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
