About the school...SEND school serving children aged 2 to 19. Their students often havecomplex and multiple learning disabilities, speech, language & communication needs, and physical or sensory requirements.

Role: Autism Support WorkerIn this role, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and the wider team to support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and day-to-day needs.

Key Responsibilities

Follow all school policies and procedures

Assist with feeding, personal care, and hygiene support as required

Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons, adapt tasks, maintain pupil engagement, scaffold learning

Support behaviour management in line with school approaches

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, enabling them to express themselves

Monitor and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing

Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiables)

Recent, relevant experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities, in educational or care settings

Comfortable providing personal care (e.g. Feeding, hygiene)

Ability to remain calm, patient and consistent under pressure

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

A caring, flexible and resilient approach
