Care and Support Worker Level 2 – Hafan y Waun Residential Care HomePlease note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.
We currently have a higher number of female residents than male which means for this campaign this post is restricted to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. This is due to the nature of the role involving intimate personal care and for reasons of privacy and decency.

We are currently recruiting 1 x 21 hours Level 2 Care and Support Worker (Nights) to join Hafan y Waun Residential Care Home in Aberystwyth, on a temporary basis. Previous experience of working in a care home is not essential as full training will be given. As long as you have kindness, patience, respect and resilience– the rest we can teach you!
About the roleNo two nights are the same in this varied and rewarding role. As a general guide, your day‐to‐day duties may include:
providing total care to clients according to daily routine as outlined in care plans
providing emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change/and or family crisis
administering prescribed medication, including controlled drugs, in line with policy and procedure
escorting clients out of the establishment, e.g. Leisure trips
completing daily records
undertaking cleaning, laundry and dining room service
