Main duties of the jobAs a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Your empathy, consistency and determination will help create a safe and therapeutic environment where recovery becomes possible.

What you will be doing

Build positive, therapeutic relationships with patients

Support young people with their daily care and treatment plans

Monitor wellbeing and record observations accurately

Assist with documentation and care planning

Support patients during times of emotional distress

Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals

Carry out delegated clinical duties under the supervision of the Nurse in Charge

Engage fully with ongoing training and development

What we are looking for

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people

Emotional resilience and the ability to work in challenging situations

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A commitment to high‐quality, compassionate care

Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided

English and Maths GCSE or equivalent (essential)

Psychology degree (desirable)

Demonstrated experience working in healthcare or with young people (essential)

Capacity to engage with young people in a person‐centred way (desirable)
