RolePositive Behaviour Support Worker – £28,932.80–£30,090.11 – Croydon, London

Are you confident supporting people with complex mental health needs to build stability and independence? Can you stay calm, organised and supportive when situations become challenging?

As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will join Quo Vadis Trust in Croydon / South-East London, supporting adults experiencing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bi‐polar disorder, substance misuse and difficulties engaging with services.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a key part in helping individuals rebuild their lives through structured, person‐centred support. You will encourage engagement, promote recovery and help clients move towards greater independence within our supported housing services.

This is a Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover) working 35 hours per week, day shifts with occasional nights.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support a caseload of clients, developing individual support plans and SMART goals

Build positive, trusting relationships with clients to encourage engagement and progress

Carry out risk assessments, inductions and ongoing support planning

Support clients with daily living skills, tenancy sustainment and wellbeing

Manage and respond to incidents and challenging behaviour using de‐escalation techniques

Maintain accurate records on the client management system

Carry out property checks, health and safety checks and room inspections

Liaise with external professionals and attend relevant meetings

Support a safe, clean and welcoming living environment across services
