Waking Night Support Worker - Learning Disabilities & Complex NeedsWe are seeking a dedicated and responsible Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at a supported living service in Alyth. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and well‐being of five individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD. The RoleOur supported living service offers a nurturing environment where you will maintain a safe and secure atmosphere throughout the night. While the service is generally quieter during waking night shifts, your presence is crucial for addressing any arising needs promptly. An additional sleepover staff member is on‐site for supplementary support. This position presents a valuable opportunity for consistent work with the potential for an extended booking or even a transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Dates: 1st June - 31st July (with a strong likelihood of extension)
Days: Monday - Thursday only
Shift Time: 21:45 - 07:30 (Waking Night Shift)
Engagement: Flexible, open to ad hoc or contracted workers.
A shadow shift or service visit can be arranged prior to commencing.
Pay RateNight / Weekend Charge Rate: £19 Umbrella
Responsibilities
Providing essential overnight support to service users.
Ensuring the safety and well‐being of all individuals throughout the night.
Responding effectively to any incidents or support needs that may arise.
Completing cleaning and general housekeeping duties to maintain a high standard of hygiene within the service.
Collaborating with sleepover staff when additional support is required.
Requirements
Previous experience in care or support work is essential.
Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs is highly desirable.
First Aid certification is preferred.
Ability to work independently and remain alert and vigilant during waking night shifts.
Demonstrated reliability and commitment to consistent Monday‐Thursday work.
Applicants must be able to commute reliably to the service location in Alyth (minimum 45 minutes travel time).
