Support Worker – Great Harwood Salary £25,185 – £25,989 per annum (pro‐rata, full‐time equivalent, 25 hours per week). Permanent, part‐time.Hourly rate: Grade 4 £13.47 per hour (pay award pending) with enhancements for weekend work, shift work (assessed), bank holidays and sleep‐in shifts as relevant (maximum £19.26 on weekends).About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, flexible support worker to help adults with disabilities live the lives they want, based at our Great Harwood facility – a CQC outstanding service.The support worker will provide daily support, including personal care, assisting with activities and experiences in the local community, managing finance, administering medication, and ensuring the person's needs are met to promote health and positive outcomes.Key Accountabilities Support people with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, using person‐centred approaches to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.Provide personal care supports and ensure dignity and respect in day‐to‐day interactions.Facilitate access to community opportunities and experiences (e.g., swimming, walking, bowling, dancing, shopping).Work in accordance with national legislation and the service's policies and guidelines at all times.Skills and Experience Experience working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential.Commitment to completing a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within two years if not holding NVQ Level 3 at appointment (training will be funded).Strong interpersonal skills, person‐centred practice, and ability to support individuals to live independently.Equal Opportunities Statement Lancashire County Council is an equal opportunities employer.
