Job description
The West Suffolk Children's ADHD Team is seeking a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to undertake a range of clinical activities supporting children and young people with ADHD, and their families, within the CYP Service.
This role will be based in Bury St Edmunds with the post holder working 37.5 hours a week. Due to the nature of this community service, candidates must hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
You must have experience of working within the community and preferably service users under 18. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to progress professionally, you will be expected to commit to further training.

Main duties of the jobClinical Support Workers undertake a range of activities to support the work of the team. This includes supporting the delivery of agreed, time‐limited interventions and pre‐treatment support within the ADHD pathway. Undertaking home visits and supporting children/young people and their families as well as clinic‐based work.
Within this role clinicians work with minimal supervision, but under the direction of the senior clinicians including Nurses and Psychologists.
The degree of involvement will be determined by a Registered Practitioner who will assess the extent of supervision required, having considered the particular circumstances and assessed the post holder's experience.
You will observe, report and record any changes, which may indicate an alteration in the patient's wellbeing as well as any routine observations required and converse with patients and their relatives/carers in a positive and respectful manner.

Person SpecificationExperience
Previous experience within the care sector
Mental health experience

Able to travel independently.
Qualifications
Care Certificate – or completion of the Care Certificate within 12 weeks of start date
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
Skills
Ability to work without direct supervision, liaising appropriately with other practitioners in the team.

£25,760 to £27,476 a year gross per annum pro rata
