Children's Community Clinical Support WorkerThe closing date is 11 May 2026.

We are recruiting for a Children's Community Clinical Support Worker who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Main responsibilitiesClinical Support Workers will be responsible for independently delivering specialist nursing care within the family home without direct supervision.

You will undertake all necessary training in order to provide nursing care to children with complex health needs within the family home in an unsupervised capacity.

Undertaking such skills as enteral feeding, care for tracheostomies, caring for children who are long term ventilated, seizure management and oxygen administration.

Additionally, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,136 and a maximum payment of £1,915 per annum pro rata.

Person SpecificationQualifications & Training

NVQ 2 Care or equivalent

Able to appropriately progress through and complete QCF Level 3

NVQ 3 or equivalent

Previous Experience

Previous experience with children or in a health care setting

Working with disabled children

Skills

Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding

Ability to work within guidelines, follow a care plan and follow instructions without the presence of a registered nurse

Ability to prioritise care

Organised

Understanding of quality and change in the clinical setting

Flexibility and team participation

Basic IT skills or willingness to develop

Interest in developing a career as part of the Children's Community service

Knowledge

Understanding of the requirements of the role

Infection Control and universal precautions

Basic understanding of NHS issues

Knowledge of clinical observation and complex health needs

Other Requirements

Able to travel to service users in rural locations within a strict timeframe.

Able to work night shifts if requested

Compensation£25,760 to £27,476 per annum pro rata, plus 5% High Cost Area Supplement.
