Come and join our friendly team.We currently have two Community Support Worker roles available in London working across two areas Bexley & Greenwich. This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week.What you'll do You'll work with local people to build their skills, local connections and friendships. You'll make sure that the people you work with (Members) are doing as much as they can for themselves, that they are looking after themselves and that they have a life that is bigger than social care support.Help members manage finances to ensure they can meet their commitments and pursue their interests.Assist members with medication management so they feel confident and self‐reliant.Encourage members to try new activities and build new experiences while ensuring they remain in control.You'll feel inspired and help inspire people. You'll encourage them to try new things and have new experiences. You'll reassure but you won't take over. Every Member you support is unique, and every day will be different.Your role will be out and about. You'll meet people in their homes or at local venues.What you won't be expected to do We support people with a lot of different things to do with leading an ordinary life, but we don't do things like bathing people or taking them to the toilet. This is sometimes called personal care.
