Pay: £31,847 annually

Hours: 35 hours a week, full-time

Agreement: Permanent

The FunctionWe are seeking a committed Assistant Service Manager to become a member of our Fulbourn supported living service's leadership team. This position is quite unique since you will be working with a team to give person‐centred assistance to a guy with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) who is constantly joyful, enjoys having fun, enjoys hearing stories, and has a fantastic sense of humour.

Responsibilities

Guarantee the provision of person‐centred assistance by managing a staff team and providing coaching.

Guarantee that all services always have a safe number of employees.

Maintain constant communication with the family and friends of the individuals we assist, as well as to communicate closely with other experts.

Serve as a mentor and role model for employees.

Take on on‐call duties (one week every three months) once your probationary period is up.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licence: Having access to your own vehicle that you are willing to use for business purposes is a prerequisite for obtaining a full UK driving licence.

Flexibility: Different work schedules, such as the need for sleep‐ins and alternating weekends.

Qualities: Strong coaching and communication abilities, as well as a flexible, proactive, and dynamic approach.

Experience: Mentoring and team leadership, as well as experience helping individuals with autism and learning difficulties, are prerequisites.

Qualifications: You will possess a recognised health and social care qualification.
