Clinical Support Worker Higher Level - Community - Band 3
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker Higher Level - Community - Band 3 to work within Keswick Community Hospital. ICCs aim to address the challenges of an ageing population by providing more out‐of‐hospital care and empowering people to take control of their health and wellbeing.
As a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level - Community - Band 3 you will work within a multi‐disciplinary team to deliver high quality care to patients with complex needs in the community. You will support patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, carry out delegated nursing procedures, make clinical observations, record patient information, advise and educate patients and carers, maintain records and manage other team members when needed.
Work schedule: 12‐hour shifts; 07:00‐19:30 and 19:00‐07:30. Flexible working may be required to meet patient needs. The Care Group provides 24/7 nursing services.
Key responsibilities
Work with other health and social care professionals to ensure seamless, integrated care.
Undertake delegated patient nursing and care duties, including clinical observations and recording data.
Support patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
Provide advice and education to patients, carers and colleagues.
Maintain accurate records and carry out nursing procedures.
Line manage and support other team members as required.
Deliver care independently and unsupervised when appropriate.
Qualifications and experience
Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience in a range of patient and clinical care duties.
National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment.
Numeracy and literacy level 2.
Relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers.
Experience in health or social care and clinical observations.
Knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, NHS and social care policies, nursing procedures and Trust business.
Strong interpersonal, communication and active listening skills, time‐keeping, planning and prioritisation, basic IT skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrate compassion, resilience and initiative.
Willingness to undertake training to improve patient care.

Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) is required to check for previous convictions. DBS charges: Standard Check £28.00, Enhanced Check £56.00, deducted from salary.
Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 per annum, pro rata.
