Clinical Support Worker - OrthopaedicsThe closing date is 03 June 2026
We are looking to recruit Clinical Support Workers to join our established Nursing Team.
We are looking for Clinical Support Workers who are motivated and want to make a difference to patient outcomes and wish to join our welcoming team.
M2 Orthopaedic is the Elective Orthopaedic ward which has 12 beds for patients undergoing total hip, total knee replacements and other upper and lower limb surgery.
M2 Orthopaedic is part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Surgical hub so it is an exciting time to join the team with recent and ongoing changes and improvements to the elective orthopaedic patients journey.
Main Duties of the JobKey responsibilities:
Provide and support patients as necessary with both personal and clinical care.
Maintain accurate records of the patient's care, documenting as appropriate in the electronic patient record.
Observe patient and report any changes to Registered Nurse.
Report any abnormal findings directly to registered nurse/professional or doctor.
Undertake a range of basic housekeeping, stock control, and administrative duties within the clinical environment.

Person SpecificationQualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Level 3 qualification (e.g. A levels or NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or a good standard of education to A Level standard and the agreement to undertake Level 3 Qualification upon appointment)
Experience working in a clinical environment and undertaking a range of relevant clinical skills with proven competencies
Experience working in NHS
Knowledge & Skills
Evidence of competence in relevant specialist skills or tasks
Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities of a Clinical Support Worker
Previous experience and training of manual handling patients using appropriate equipment
Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence
Able to provide support and reassurance to patients.

Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
A positive attitude and ability to act on feedback
Polite, friendly, approachable and self-motivated

Salary£25,760 to £27,476 per annum pro rata
