Autism Support Worker - Primary SEN School - Bromley

The RoleAs an Autism Support Worker, you'll work closely with primary-aged pupils (typically 4‐11 years old) with autism and additional needs. You'll help create a safe, engaging, and structured environment where children can build confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy learning.Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to each child

Delivering fun, engaging, and age‐appropriate learning activities

Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation

Encouraging independence and early life skills development

Helping maintain a positive, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment

Who We're Looking for someone who:

Has experience with, or a strong interest in, supporting children with autism

Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic about working with young children

Can build strong, trusting relationships with primary-aged pupils

Works well both independently and as part of a team

Is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs

Requirements

Experience as an Autism Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, or similar (preferred)

A genuine passion for working with primary-aged children with SEN

A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
