Job description
Daleview is a regional low‐secure forensic environment which can accommodate 10 males with a learning disability. The unit is funded by the Four Health board areas that comprise the Learning Disability Managed Care Network, NHS Borders, NHS Forth Valley, NHS Fife and NHS Lothian. We are looking for a highly enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Activity and Therapeutic Support Worker.
Responsibilities
Plan, organise and deliver a programme of activities in‐house and within the community.
Provide a wide range of activities that stimulate the physical and mental wellbeing of the patient group.
Promote the philosophy of social inclusion and independence to motivate, guide and engage patients in activity programmes using risk‐focused approaches.
Work as a strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
Trauma‐informed practice experience.
Strong communication, organisational and team‐working abilities.
Hours of WorkFull‐time and part‐time positions available across seven days.
