Job description

Band 3 Mental Health Support Worker opportunities within our award winning Mental Health Triage and Response Service – which includes Mental Health Response Vehicles (MHRV), Health Based Places of Safety and Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS) across the Mersey Care Footprint.

Responsibilities

Provide response to the management of Section 136 and the operating of the identified Places of Safety, MHRV and MHCAS.

Act as the first point of contact and work collaboratively alongside the Registered Mental Health Practitioner and with Police forces, NWAS, Local Authorities, Acute Trust colleagues, and Mental Health Services.

Support service users presenting in crisis, ensuring their needs are met within the identified places of safety and assisting with timely assessment and safety planning.

Mobilise to support service users from the point of detention under Section 136 through coordination, observation, assessment and support within the identified Places of Safety.

Effectively communicate, problem solve, recognise risk and support the service user.

Qualifications

Experience of crisis management and assessment.

Experience of ward work (beneficial).

Self‐motivated and forward‐thinking.
