Job DescriptionPosition: Casual Community Support Worker

Location: Burnley and Pendle Day Service – Burnley Day Service (Temple St, Burnley, BB11 3BD) and Pendle Day Service (Rigby St, Nelson, BB9 7AA)

Salary: £13.45 per hour (casual hours, 9:00 am‐4:30 pm, Monday to Friday)

Unit: Grade 3 at Burnley and Pendle Day Service. The role is not open to international sponsorship.

ResponsibilitiesProvide both building‐based and community support to people with disabilities.Assist with personal care, finances, medication and other daily activities.Encourage and support service users to participate in community activities, such as shopping trips and outdoor events.Maintain a caring, supportive environment, fostering confidence and independence.

Qualifications & AttributesPassion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.Empathy and resilience to manage challenging behaviours.Strong communication skills and the ability to provide reassurance and positivity.Need to have a good heart and caring nature; formal health and social care background not essential.
