Salary: £13.25 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Waking Nights

Contract: Full Time

Essential Requirements

Minimum 6 months experience within mental health support or complex care

Experience supporting individuals with severe mental health needs

PMVA Training essential

Ligature Training essential

Full UK Driving Licence essential

Ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations

Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management

Right to work in the UK

The RoleRotherwood Cares are currently recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to support a young person in Oldham with severe and complex mental health needs.

This is a highly rewarding but challenging role requiring experienced and resilient support staff who can build positive therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring safety at all times.

Duties Will Include

Providing 1:1 support during waking night shifts

Supporting emotional wellbeing and mental health recovery

Monitoring and managing risks within the environment

Following care plans, behaviour support plans, and safeguarding procedures

Supporting with daily living tasks and routines where required

Maintaining accurate records and incident reports

Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and the wider support team

Supporting with de-escalation and crisis intervention where necessary
