What does a Cover Supervisor do?

Supervise whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring lessons run smoothly.

Deliver pre‐prepared work and keep pupils focused and engaged.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Provide support and guidance where needed, helping pupils stay on track.

Be a positive role model, creating a calm and productive learning environment.

What we're looking for

A degree (any subject) or proven experience with young people, backed up by a confident can‐do attitude.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Professional presence and the ability to adapt quickly.

Previous experience in education, youth work, coaching, or tutoring is helpful, but not essential.
