Do you have the leadership skills and compassion to support both a team and an individual with complex needs?

We are seeking an experienced Male Senior Support Worker to join our Supported Living service. You will support an adult male with autism and a personality disorder who can display behaviours that challenge, while also playing a key leadership role within the staff team.

About the RoleAs a Senior Support Worker you will:

Direct Support

Provide consistent, calm, person‐centred support

Build positive, structured routines that promote independence and emotional regulation

Use trauma‐informed and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches

Support the individual with daily living skills, community access, and personal goals

Leadership & Coordination

Lead shifts and ensure safe, high‐quality support is delivered

Mentor, guide, and support Support Workers during complex or challenging situations

Complete and update support plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans

Support with rota planning, staff handovers, and day‐to‐day service organisation

Promote a positive, professional culture focused on respect, empowerment, and consistency

Quality & Compliance

Maintain accurate documentation

Support with audits, reflective practice sessions, and team debriefs

Work with external professionals, families, and managers to review and improve support

About YouWe're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in supporting people with autism, mental health needs, or behaviours that challenge

Confident leading a team and setting clear, professional boundaries

Calm, resilient, and able to respond to crisis situations with a level head

Skilled in communication, problem‐solving, and team coordination

Committed to high standards of safeguarding and person‐centred care

Able to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep‐ins (if applicable)

Hold a valid Full Clean UK Driving Licence and be able to drive an Automatic Vehicle

An interest in technology, computers, radio‐controlled cars, 80s & 90s music is also welcome – but not essential.
