Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised assistance and companionship. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to help others. We are looking for a Care Assistant to provide support in the main areas we work in. Billingshurst, Wisborough Green, Loxwood, Ifold, Plaistow, Pulborough, Ashington and Storrington.

PAY£14.00 Weekdays, £14.50 Weekends + £1.70 per visit / 45p per Mile

SURROUNDING AREASBillingshurst, Wisborough Green, Loxwood, Ifold, Plaistow, Pulborough, Ashington and Storrington.

Schedule

Week 1 – Monday to Friday 8am – 2pm

Week 2 – Tuesday to Saturday 7am – 2pm & 4pm – 9pm

Bank Hours available

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility

Assist with medication

Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring their needs and preferences are met effectively

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing

Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care

Ensure the safety and comfort of clients at all times, following health and safety guidelines

Assist with light domestic tasks within the care environment, including cleaning and organising personal spaces

Requirements

1 year minimum experience

Full UK driving licence and your own car

Kind and caring nature

Good IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating care plans

Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues

Must be able to commit to the above schedule
