Job OverviewAn exciting opportunity has become available within Chepstow Community Hospital on Cas Gwent Ward for a Health Care Support Worker. The role is advertised at Band 2 with a possibility for progression to Band 3 as part of a national review. This post does not meet the Home Office's criteria for a certificate of sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent nursing care to patients on the Cas Gwent Ward.

Assist nursing staff with routine care and support patient rehabilitation.

Manage operational duties in a 34‐bed ward, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Work shifts of 12 or 6 hours, covering day and night, including bank holidays.

Participate in change management initiatives and support colleagues to improve patient care.

Qualifications and Skills

NVQ Level 2 qualification desirable, although not essential.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Good computer skills.

Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
