Clinical Support Worker - Surgical Day Case & Treatment Unit

We have permanent, full or part time opportunities for Health care Assistants to join our dedicated and dynamic team on ward 5, Surgical Day Case Unit and Surgical Treatment Unit. The majority of our patients are undergoing elective surgical procedures, however we also care for those requiring emergency surgery. The ideal candidate would be expected to deliver the highest standards of care to our patients and have a keen interest in falls prevention, nutrition and hydration and maintaining safety both pre and post operatively.Hours per week: 37.5, part‐time hours available. This role offers development opportunities to progress to Band 3.Responsibilities Work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse to provide the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families.Provide and deliver a high standard of compassionate personal care, recognizing and meeting the specific needs of patients.Assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of individual programmes of care for patients.Participate in a 24‐hour shift pattern and possible rotation between wards within the specialty.Qualifications and Requirements Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check with barred lists; the cost of the check is payable by the successful candidate.If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.We are committed to providing the best quality integrated care to our patients.
