We are looking to recruit experienced Health Care Assistants at Frimley NHS Health Foundation Trust (FHFT) who are currently working in the UK in a healthcare setting. We have a range of Health Care Assistant (HCA) vacancies across our clinical directorates on our Frimley Park Hospital site.

Important requirements: you must be in the UK, have current experience of working in a UK healthcare setting as an HCA, and possess a high level of spoken and written English. Please do not use AI software for completion of your application for this role.
Responsibilities
Assist the nursing team with the care of patients, ensuring smooth running of the department.
Support clinically the ward/department team, acting in the best interests of patients, and treating colleagues with respect and dignity.
Carry out agreed clinical activities including collection of urine and faecal samples, swabs, recording of fluid intake/output, changing of stomas and urine drainage bags, catheter care, recording vital signs and the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2), and advising the registrant nurse of any changes in a patient's condition.
Provide care for enhanced care observation patients (1:1) or bay‐based observation as required.
Support the implementation of plans of care for individual patients.
Assist patients to eat and drink, including menu selection and awareness of special diets and cultural requirements.
Assist patients in maintaining personal hygiene.
Contribute to the safe movement of patients, mobilising and moving patients using equipment as required and following mobility assessment to ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications
Experience in a UK healthcare setting as a Health Care Assistant.
High level of spoken and written English.
Ability to work under direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse/Nursing Associate.
ApprenticeshipThis vacancy is linked with an opportunity for apprenticeship for those eligible. You will not be required to undertake an apprenticeship if you have previously completed a relevant apprenticeship, NVQ or similar healthcare qualification.
