We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant TV Installer to join a growing engineering team, supporting the installation of cutting-edge TV systems for leading hospitality brands across the UK while developing specialist technical skills through on-the-job training.

Our client is a major company that delivers and installs state-of-the-art TV systems for hospitality and commercial spaces across the UK. From delivering and handling large-scale TV rollouts in hotels to expertly mounting screens with a perfect finish, their technicians play a crucial role in delivering projects to some of the biggest names in hospitality.
They are looking for a keen and enthusiastic assistant TV installer to join their engineering team. They are expanding quickly and are looking for someone with some IT knowledge who can use basic hand tools and is eager to learn .
You will be teamed up with a Senior Engineer who will teach you everything you need to know to work towards becoming a TV Installer in the future.
You need to be unafraid of hard work and willing to learn new skills to enable you to undertake work on your own as soon as possible.
The role is based in Burton upon Trent - but will include national travel and some overnight stays. Flexibility is a must.
The standard hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Overtime is paid for any hours over this at normal time – time and a half for Saturday work and double time for Sunday working.
The role
Working within the engineering team with a lead engineer, the Assistant TV Installer will work on contracts nationally. The customer base consists of Premier Inn, Travelodge, IHG and various other hotel chains.
Your daily duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Lead Engineer on installation work as issued by the Project Manager
- Pro-actively learning quickly how to undertake work for your lead engineer and eventually undertaking work on your own
- Using your IT knowledge to learn how to programme systems and update records.
- Being aware of health & safety risks in and around your work area for yourself and others
- Completing documentation as required and requested by lead engineer or manager
What you'll need
- Some IT knowledge
- Willingness to learn and take on challenges on a daily basis
- Good practical skills and be able to use basic hand tools
- A full driving licence held for at least 1 year is essential
- Health & Safety knowledge – full training provided
- Working at heights is a necessity but full training will be given
