HGV Class 1 Driver

Pay: £16.40 per hour

Job Description:

We are delighted to be recruiting for Class 1 drivers to do trunking work.

Start Friday 19th June at 18.00pm

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Trunking: Moving loaded/unloaded trailers between various depots and customer sites nationwide.
• No Handballing: Primarily uncoupling/coupling trailers and swapping them; physical loading/unloading is rarely required.
• Compliance: Conducting daily vehicle checks via a mobile app, reporting defects, and adhering to EU Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations.
• Communication: Updating the Transport Team on any route delays or issues. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Essential Requirements

• Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Experience: Minimum 6 to 12 months of Class 1 driving experience.
• Cards: Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

No more that 6 points.
