Working pattern 40 hours per week (MondayFriday, on-call requirements).

About the Role

You will play an important part in ensuring our care home remains a safe, comfortable and well maintained environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.

This is a busy and varied role in a highly regulated environment, where a 'can do' attitude, ability to prioritise and willingness to take direction are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance, repairs and decorating to a high standard

  • Support fire safety systems, water hygiene checks and PAT testing

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, COSHH and company policies

  • Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records

  • Liaise with contractors and support improvement projects

  • Assist with grounds maintenance and seasonal safety tasks

  • Provide occasional support to a nearby sister care home

About The Role

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has previous maintenance or facilities experience

  • Is multi skilled and confident with general repairs

  • Has a can do, solution focused approach

  • Is able to prioritise workload and respond to direction

  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively

  • Is reliable, flexible and approachable

  • Has an understanding of health and safety regulations (advantageous)

  • Is willing to complete required training and refresher training

  • Shows compassion, patience and respect when working around older and more vulnerable people

  • Holds a full UK driving licence (desirable)
