Four Junior Clinical Fellow Float Doctors
This is a full‐time, one‐year, fixed‐term Junior Clinical Fellow Float Doctor post in Psychiatry with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The role is based in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham or Southwark and offers opportunities to work across inpatient, crisis, community, rehabilitation and other specialist teams.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will manage inpatients or the team caseload, attend ward rounds and team meetings, carry out risk assessments and develop care plans, monitor the physical health of patients, liaise with GPs and other professionals, make safeguarding referrals, and keep accurate clinical records. Additional duties include contributing to audit, research, quality improvement and service development, and participating in teaching and reflective practice, with protected time each week for professional development.

Person Specification

Fully Registered Medical Practitioner

Experience of working as a doctor in the NHS for at least two years

Experience in psychiatric settings

Experience in management and quality improvement activities

Experience in teaching undergraduate medical students and staff of other disciplines

Research experience within medicine

Leader in a QIP, teaching initiative, research project or publication

Giving a presentation at national or international level
