Male Support Worker - DaysPay: £14.18 per hour (weekly or monthly pay available)Hours: 36 hours per week (3x 12 hour shifts per week)Shift pattern: Monday - Sunday 8:00am 8:00pm (Day shifts)You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle.Were looking for an enthusiastic and resilient Male Support Worker to join a mixed-gender team providing 2:1 support to an adult in Chesterfield.This individual has mild learning disabilities, a schizophrenic personality disorder, ADHD, and other mental health needs, and may at times present with physically challenging behaviours.They love the outdoors especially camping in the woods, along with fitness, music, and visiting local pubs. Were seeking someone who can genuinely connect with them while offering consistent, structured support.What the role involves Supporting daily living tasks while promoting independenceAssisting with financial management (all spending requests go through the team, which can be challenging)Encouraging healthy routines, boundaries, and positive decision-makingSupporting mental health needs and responding appropriately to challenging behavioursBuilding rapport through shared interests such as music, fitness, or social activitiesWhat were looking for Calm, resilient, and consistent in your approachNon-judgemental and supportive, even when the person makes unwise or risky choicesAble to mentor and guide someone with impulsive or challenging behavioursPassionate about helping people build structure, confidence, and independenceSomeone who can engage on a personal level through shared hobbies or interestsEssential experience Previous work within mental health services, particularly with personality disordersExperience supporting people with learning disabilitiesBackground in managing or guiding individuals with risky or impulsive behavioursWho we areacuity care delivers specialistsupport across Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, Learning Disability & Autism, and Mental Health Services .
