Creative Graduate Teaching Assistant (Arts, Drama & Musical Theatre)

A supportive and creative Primary School based in Tower Hamlets are looking to recruit a confident and creative Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2.

We're specifically looking for candidates with an Arts, Drama, Music, Musical Theatre or Performing Arts background, who have some previous experience working with children, as well as the ability to engage pupils using creative, imaginative and artistic methods.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Creative Graduate who is looking to gain long-term primary school experience before progressing into teaching, therapy, child psychology, SEN or another education-related career.

What will this Creative Graduate Teaching Assistant position involve?

Working with pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2

Supporting pupils within lessons, small groups and on a 1:1 basis

May involve supporting pupils with mild SEN, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and Speech & Language needs

Using creativity, confidence and imagination to engage pupils across the primary curriculum

Supporting pupils with confidence, communication, behaviour, social development and academic progress

Helping create a fun, inclusive and engaging learning environment

About You

Some previous experience working with children

A confident, enthusiastic and resilient personality

Creative and capable of coming up with innovative, engaging and fun ideas

A background in Arts, Drama, Music, Musical Theatre, Performing Arts or a related subject

A genuine passion for education and supporting young people

Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with pupils

Ideal for aspiring Primary Teachers, Drama Therapists, Music Therapists, Play Therapists, Child Psychologists or graduates looking to gain school-based experience
