Health & Safety Manager – Refurbishment Projects

London (site-based)

Up to £80,000 + travel to sites


Our client

A well-established and growing refurbishment contractor, delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors in London, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to best practice, they pride themselves on maintaining high safety standards across all sites


The Role

This is a hands-on, site-focused position, working across multiple refurbishment projects in London. You will be responsible for driving health & safety standards, ensuring compliance, and promoting a proactive safety culture on-site.


This is not a desk-based role — you will spend the majority of your time out on projects, engaging directly with site teams and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee health & safety across multiple refurbishment s
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company policies
  • Provide guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors
  • Investigate incidents and implement improvements where required
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety training
  • Work closely with project managers to embed a strong safety culture


About You

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the refurbishment sector
  • Exposure to projects across multiple sectors (e.g. Commercial, residential, education, health
  • care)Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, visible, and confident in site environments
  • Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel regularly across London)
