Consultant Anaesthetist, Plymouth. Bring your specialist knowledge and experience of anaesthetics to a more progressive and rewarding environment at our Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth. As part of a highly professional but friendly and compassionate team, you will provide both NHS and private patients with the very highest standards of care.
We are open to both part‑time and full‑time consultants to work collaboratively with 30 like‑minded Anaesthetists across the 9 hospitals within the group.

What you'll be doing
In this key role, you'll anaesthetise patients for the different procedures we offer at our site in Plymouth – from ophthalmology to orthopaedics, and from gynaecology to general surgery.
Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you'll also have the chance to get involved in the administrative and managerial aspects of the department, and in the development of less experienced colleagues.
What we’ll look for in you
Fully qualified, GMC‑registered anaesthetists, with:
- Broad clinical experience in all forms of anaesthetics
- The ability to carry out procedures unsupervised and offer expert advice on all issues relating to this specialist area
- Excellent communication and team‑working skills
- An innovative approach and an eagerness to embrace new ways of working
