Bright Horizons UK is looking for a Safeguarding Consultant

Job description

Remote, UK | Regular UK travel and occasional overnight stays required

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

From Salary: £50k plus car allowance

Are you an experienced safeguarding professional passionate about creating safer environments and driving positive change?

We're looking for a Safeguarding Consultant to join our team and play a key role in conducting robust safeguarding investigations, supporting operational teams, and embedding a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex safeguarding investigations.
  • Provide expert safeguarding advice and support to managers and DSLs.
  • Liaise with external agencies including Police, LADO, and Local Authorities.
  • Deliver safeguarding training, webinars, and learning initiatives.
  • Conduct safeguarding audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse safeguarding, quality, and regulatory data to support decision-making.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding meetings.
  • Promote organisational learning and best practice across the business.


About You

  • Relevant Education and qualifications for this opportunity
  • Background in safeguarding, social work, policing, education, care, or a related field.
  • Extensive safeguarding experience with strong knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience conducting safeguarding investigations.
  • Strong decision-making, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Experience delivering training and coaching others is desirable.
