Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a TraineeMental Health Practitioner within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. Thisrole will focus on the delivery of population based mental health care for thecommunity of Wyre Forest. You will be working alongside a team of highlyspecialist practitioners and have direct relationships with the professionalswithin the local Primary Care Networks (PCN). If you are seeking a role thatwill encompass new ways of working that will be the future delivery ofcommunity mental health care in England, then this is an opportunity you shouldnot miss. If you are a newly qualified RMN, OT or Social Worker, the TraineeMHP post offers a developmental package allowing you to work towards a Band 6position in the team with guidance and support from experienced staff membersand gives you the opportunity to spend time in other clinical areas to developyour knowledge and understanding of the service. Main duties of the job
Will work as akey member and resource of the MDT core team.
This post willoffer a challenging and exciting opportunity to gain experience of workingacross the Mental Health Service in Wyre Forest, developing relationships withPrimary Care, partner agencies and wider mental health services.
You will havethe opportunity to design and deliver evidence-based recovery focused mentalhealth interventions and groups. Knowledgeof delivery psychoeducation within a group environment and 1:1 would be anadvantage.
You will haveexperience of working with this user group in community settings. You will havea registered qualification in mental health nursing, occupational therapy orsocial work.
The ability towork flexibly as the need of the service demands is essential.
Attend weekly MDT meetings, participatein professionals meetings, signpost to adjunct services depending on patientneed.
Support and guidance to the carers ofpatients accessing the services.
Be supported in taking part inthe duty system and act appropriately when dealing with patients who areexperiencing difficulties in the absence of their allocated worker.
Receive clinical and managerialsupervision regularly.
A developmental plan will beavailable for this post. If you meet these requirements you will be offered aBand 6 post within the team.
