Junior Clinical Fellow – Neurosurgery

1 x Permanent and 2 x Fixed Term (6 months)

Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery at ST2+ equivalent level. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated doctor with an interest in neurosurgery to gain valuable experience within a busy regional neuroscience service, supporting the delivery of high‐quality care to elective and emergency neurosurgical patients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exposure to a broad range of cranial and spinal neurosurgical conditions.

Attend theatre, clinics, teaching sessions, clinical governance meetings and quality improvement activities.

Work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to ward‐based care, assessment of acute admissions and peri‐operative patient management.

Participate in the on‐call rota and support acute neurosurgical care both in the emergency department and inpatient setting.

Qualifications and Experience

Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.

Appropriate clinical experience at foundation level or above.

Previous NHS experience is essential.

Interest in pursuing a career in neurosurgery or a related specialty is desirable.

Enthusiastic, reliable, compassionate doctor with excellent communication skills and a commitment to safe, patient‐centred care.
